New board of the “Wir Kaiserswerther” local business association elected

The local business association “Wir Kaiserswerther e.V.”, which has represented the interests of Kaiserswerth's traders for more than 35 years, has elected a new board. At the general meeting on 13 January 2025 at Jacques’ Weindepot, Dietrich Ahrens, owner of Münchhausen Catering and operator of Schloßallee 1, was appointed chairman. He is supported by Dagmar Böcker-Schüttken of Böcker Immobilien, who takes on the role of treasurer. Dietmar Hoffbauer, co-owner of Tafeltraum, will act as secretary. Together with the advisory board, made up of further committed members of Kaiserswerth's business community, the team aims to give the district fresh impetus through a wide range of activities and festivals and to raise its profile beyond the region.

Looking back on 2024

The past year was marked by successful events and creative activities. The Kartoffelfest (potato festival) in particular, organised independently at short notice, was a great success. Among other things, the historic tractors of the Rahmer Traktoren Club and demonstrations by the Technisches Hilfswerk (Federal Agency for Technical Relief) delighted the crowds. In the Klemensviertel, the Herrmann family and Münchhausen Catering offered culinary highlights all about the potato. Lord Mayor Keller opened the festival in front of the town hall and paid tribute to the organisers' achievement.

The Sternenspiel (star game) during Advent also attracted many families. 120 children eagerly searched for felt stars in shop windows, and the prize-giving in the Winterdorf (winter village) was a fitting finale. With the Kaiserswerth bag campaign, in which blue bags bearing the district logo were handed out to customers, the shops sent a further signal of support for the local business association.
