Kaiserfest 2026
After last year's great success, the Kaiserfest enters its next round: on 12 and 13 September 2026, Kaiserswerth will once again be transformed into one big festival mile – from Kaiserswerther Markt through the Klemensviertel down to the Rhine. The local business association “Wir Kaiserswerther e.V.” warmly invites you to stroll, discover and dine.
What to expect
Live music, dolce vita, shopping, culinary delights and a colourful family programme
With its new concept, the Kaiserfest 2025 became a crowd-puller straight away – many thousands of visitors celebrated together in our historic district. In 2026, a varied stage programme awaits you once again on Kaiserswerther Markt: from French chansons to jazz, rock and samba percussion, through to dance performances, a carnival programme and a party atmosphere with a DJ on both evenings.
Numerous stalls with culinary offerings, arts and crafts, children's activities and creative ideas line the festival mile. Kaiserswerth's shops are actively taking part in the festival weekend and invite you to shop – on Saturday and on the Sunday shopping day.
Musical highlights come from singer Viktoria Miller, Savoir Vivre and the Wild Wind Skiffle Group. A raffle also promises attractive prizes, and every ticket purchased supports projects for the sustainable enhancement of the district. To mark the 40th anniversary of the Klemensviertel, the central square will be transformed into an Italian piazza on Sunday afternoon at 2 pm with a surprise concert of Italian opera singing.
Getting to the Kaiserfest
We strongly recommend travelling to the Kaiserfest by public transport. The U79 and various bus routes stop directly at the Klemensplatz stop. Visitors arriving by car will find car parks outside the town centre, accessible via Niederrheinstraße: the car park at the Kaiserpfalz (imperial palace), coming from Düsseldorf, at the roundabout towards the ferry / entrance behind the volunteer fire station. Beyond the roundabout, on the right-hand side, is the entrance to the Klemensplatz car park. Additional parking is available coming from Duisburg on Arnheimer Straße opposite the ESSO petrol station. The Klemensplatz multi-storey car park can be reached via Alte Landstraße.
