Discover Kaiserswerth – exciting, historic and right up close.
Whether a spontaneous guided tour or an individually planned route: in Kaiserswerth, history comes alive. Our experienced guides take you on a journey through more than 1,300 years of local history – from the Kaiserpfalz (imperial palace) to the cradle of modern nursing.
Historical tours with Dr Annett Büttner
The local historian and author of numerous publications not only sheds light on historical figures such as Emperor Barbarossa, Friedrich von Spee and Theodor Fliedner, but also leads you to hidden places of the town's history. Particular attention is paid to the development of the Diakonie and of nursing training, both of which originated here.
