Annual reception

The local business association Wir Kaiserswerther e.V. had invited guests to its annual reception at Schlossallee 1 in Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth on 8 May.

The evening focused on the future of the district. At its centre: the importance of Kaiserswerth as a healthcare location and the opportunities for retail, hospitality and district marketing.

A keynote was given by PD Dr. med. Aris Koryllos, Chief Physician of the Department of Thoracic Surgery at the Florence Nightingale Hospital Düsseldorf and Head of the Lung Cancer Centre. In a short talk he spoke on the topic: Modern medicine between specialisation and security of care.

Sven Schulte, Adviser for Retail, Urban Development and Sector Support at IHK Düsseldorf (Chamber of Commerce and Industry), made clear that the healthcare sector brings a steady flow of visitors into the town centre, thereby creating visibility and demand beyond the region.

The evening was hosted by Miriam Beul. Alongside the keynotes, there was ample opportunity for personal exchange with people active in Kaiserswerth.

Guests were treated to culinary delights by Jacques’ Wein-Depot, Wunderhaus Deli & Friends, Zum Einhorn, Casa Massimo and Münchhausen Gastronomie. The raffle in aid of securing and expanding the Christmas lights also proved very popular. Local businesses encouraged ticket sales with high-quality prizes, including Löwenapotheke, Kaiserplatz, Café Schuster, Nordbote, sandtwerk, BÖCKER-Wohnimmobilien, Wunderhaus, KFO, Radschläger, The Malibu Style, Süßstoff, Kosmetikinstitut Felstau and Helga Osenberg.
